New Jersey Pony Breeders & Owners, Inc.

The New Jersey Pony Breeders and Owners association is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1957 to serve and promote the pony industry in the state of New Jersey. The New Jersey Pony Breeders and Owners association  is represented on the NJ Department of Agriculture Equine Advisory Board. NJ-Bred ponies owned by members are eligible to participate in the NJ-Bred Equine Breeder Awards Program sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture.

NAME, BREED OR TYPE OF DAM OF FOAL

State NAME and BREED of dam’s sire, if known, and carry out breeding as shown in the spaces below as far as possible. If breeding of dam is UNKNOWN, so state and indicate under "Remarks" the TYPE,
i.e., Riding, Hunter, Driving, Pet, Polo, Dressage, etc.

Important: If dam is know to be registered so state, and if available, give breed and Certificate number.

Rules Governing Registration
A. Classes of foals eligible:

Foals that are by a registered stallion. One parent must be a pony.

B. Height Limit:

At the bottom of the registration certificate will be printed: *THIS CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION WILL BE VOID IF AT ANY TIME THE ANIMAL HEREIN DESCRIBED EXCEEDS 14 HANDS 2 INCHES IN HEIGHT.

C. Naming of foals:

A foal does not need to be named when registered but a name must be claimed by February 1st of its yearling year. Names already in use in the registry will not be used.

D. Fees: Foals must be registered by February 1st of yearling year.
